Our Saturday

Poor Mr 4 had his 4 year old immunisations yesterday morning and through the night last night woke with a fever and very sore arms.  He was very unsettled and in pain so needless to say we got very little sleep.  We were up early and he continued to be very uncomfortable and miserable.

Hubby and Mr 8 went to swimming lessons while Mr 4 and I snuggled on the couch.  After lunch all 3 boys had a sleep while I read my latest crime novel (it's an addiction LOL!) with a cup of coffee.  After his sleep Mr 4 was a different child!  He was happy, running around, eating etc  Phew, no more nurofen needed today.

Hubby took the boys out to run a quick errand which was so nice of him as it gave me an hour to listen to some of my favourite music and wait for it...... time to make a card!  I haven't made a card in ages.  I normally use time alone to do jobs without children under foot or paper work, but not today; I decided to do something that I actually wanted to do :)   Hubby and I try to give each other some kid-free time on a regular basis; he is going fishing tomorrow morning.

When they returned, we did a few loads of washing, watered the garden, planted some new plants while the boys played and ran around.  Hubby suggested that we go out to dinner together, so here we are at Sizzler.....

Mr 8 packing his doggy bag!

Mmmmmmm ice cream.

There was a sign on the ice-cream machine warning patrons that the ice-cream came out fast..... Mr 8 found that our for himself; he didn't eat all of this!

And here are the cards I managed to make today, I cut out all the bits and pieces this afternoon and put them together tonight after the kids were in bed.  These cards are thankyou cards ready to go out to some special people who encourage me and support me.

I hope you enjoyed your Saturday too?

Happy Australia Day

This morning we did what all good Aussie's do on Australia Day - we hit the beach!  Such a beautiful day, we headed out early to avoid the heat and the crowds.  Here are some photos from our morning together at Hillary's Boat Harbour.....

Grandma and Mr 4 digging a 'bath'.

Mr 4 loving the water!

Ditto for Mr 8!   Grandma and the marina in the background.

Just me :)

Hubby decided to re-live his childhood by jumping off the jetty.  He says it's one of those 'try before you die' things so he was really happy with himself!

Mmmmmm ice cream.

My beautiful boys.

Such a nice way to spend Australia Day.  I hope yours has been just as relaxing?  If only we didn't have to head back to work tomorrow.....

Happy Australia Day!

Whiteman Park

We love visiting Whiteman Park which is so close to our house (about 7kms away). We visited yesterday morning with my sister and her 2 girls.

Mr 4 and Miss 5 playing chasey.

Playing in the playground.

Swimming in the pool.

Enjoying a picnic lunch.

A special moment with Mr 4!

Face painting, Mr 8 is Batman.

And of course a visit to the lolly shop for a small treat each!

We collected some gum nuts while at the park, so later in the afternoon the boys used the nuts to create some painting masterpieces.

I'm so glad we have such a great (free) park so close to home that's fun for all ages.

Until next time,

Narelle

Welcome.....

....To Life at Number 22.

I enjoy blogging at Moments for Mum, but wanted a space to share more family stuff, more creative stuff, more mundane daily life stuff, more family photo's and just stuff that perhaps will only be of interest to me; a hodge-podge of things!

This is my place to share, to vent and a place where family and friends can catch up with what's going on here at Number 22!

I hope you feel welcome anytime you want to visit, but don't forget to wipe your feet before you come in :)
